Every time we welcome a new colleague; we never think about how changing the job can cost them. We always think it’s just a matter of benefits and perks.
But switching jobs is never easy, especially when you have spent most of your life at the same desk, doing the same work, surrounded by the same team every single day. Change is a challenge and it always requires courage and determination. It’s a matter of changing your own “ikigai”, which is a Japanese concept meaning “reason for being”.
Today we do not only give a big “welcome” to Giulio Noce as new Senior Project Manager, but we also thank him for having chosen IB as his next challenge; like many of the staff who has joined IB, Giulio has spent more than 20 years in what was once one of the biggest IT companies in the world specializing in software & services for the Maritime Industry.
Giulio has amassed a lot of experience in Database Construction and Consultancy, having worked in the IT sector since he was a student.
“I’ve always been fascinated by Information Technology and today, while we are approaching the era of digitalization, it’s like a dream come true” – says Giulio. “Digitalization is the use of digital technologies to change a business model and provide new revenue and value-producing opportunities. As for everything, make your choice: invest your time or invest your money, as long as you also invest in understanding how digitalization can help you grow, because it is too large and too powerful a phenomenon to ignore it for much longer.”
We wish IB can become a part of Giulio’s ikigai from now. Surely, we are really happy to have him under our flag.
