IB has joined the CLIA world

IB Influencing Business has recently become the Gold Executive Partner of CLIA, the Cruise Lines International Association. The membership is a statement of IB’s commitment to the Cruise sector.

During the last year, approximately 28 million passengers jumped aboard roughly 400 cruise ships, generating more than $135,000,000 in economic activity while creating over one million jobs worldwide. These numbers continue to climb significantly: around 122 ships were ordered in 2018, with a value of more than $68 billion. These numbers reflect a powerful and challenging market which IB has been a part of for many years by creating dedicated solutions and systems such as the software suite InfoSHIP®.

“We believe that the CLIA industry offers targeted opportunities to network IB’s business with cruise line decision makers and related industries. It is a great deal indeed, and an honour at the same time” – says Caterina Cerrini Strategic Partnerships at IB – “InfoSHIP®, the fleet asset management software is installed on several top-level cruise ships around the world utilizing the most advanced technologies. After years of experience and continuous achievements in this market, it is particularly exciting to Partner with a group like CLIA where competences and results really matter. This is the reason why we decided to join this International Association and look forward to working together in order to increase our footprint within it”.

About CLIA

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association. CLIA Europe promotes the interests of cruise ship operators within Europe, liaising closely with EU Institutions. CLIA Europe also promotes cruising to a wider public audience to encourage expansion of the European cruise market and works closely with a range of other stakeholders, including the wider shipping industry, cruise ports, and travel agents.

In addition to the CLIA Europe offices in Brussels, CLIA has representations in several national markets across Europe. These national chapters provide our members with platforms to work on and solve issues at the local and national levels. They also constitute an integral part of CLIA’s multilevel approach to the representation of our members’ interests.
